A mixed reception for this book. Everybody felt it was beautifully written with very moving descriptions
Some felt that the style was too onerous for a book however and that it was more suited to poetry; others really felt it contributed to
the whole ethos and mood of the book, portraying moods and emotions effectively.
There was a lively debate over the need for the second 'volume' of the book - again, those who really enjoyed the book felt it added to
the historical cycle; others felt it was totally unecessary and somewhat detracting from the original story
Overall, people either loved it or hated it - the mediocre score reflects an an average from a lot of very high marks and a lot of very low marks!!
