This book was thought to be original and well-written
Aside from the main storyline, we felt the book was celevrly written with many sub-plots and interesting characters. The variety of settings was amazing - from inbred Greek villages to race-riots in Detroit to modern-day Berlin - it was only on discussion that we realised just how much this novel encompassed
The book provoked in-depth discussion on the subject and whether there were 'right' or 'wrong' decisions in the characters' lives
