This book had a mixed reception. Those in the group with a medical career/interest rated it very highly in contrast to those with little medical interest

Everyone felt the book had great potential for powerful descriptions and strong charcaters, but there was some debate as to how much of its potential it filled

There were some vivid desriptions and evocative passages, but much of the book seemed to relect the clinical nature of the main characters
