Book Reviews - Staying on by Paul Scott

We felt slightly disppointed on reading this book, as it had won the Booker prize and we all had high expectations which it did not meet.

On the positive side, we felt that the main character, Lucie, was well portrayed and that it was an accurate portrayal of a desperate situtation.

It was an effective love story and we felt it would make an execellent radio 4 play.

There were episodes in the book we found moving and inspirational, but these were few and far between!
