Book Reviews - The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
A fantastic read with a wonderful variety of pace, setting and mood. Everyone agreed that this was one of the best books we have read, with a storyline that kept the reader's interest.
The deliberate changes in style of contrasting chapters was appreciated by all, along with the many levels of metaphor, from biblical to mundane.
A few felt that not all the characters were developed to full strength, especially that of the father and his brothers.
